Chiropractic Assistant - Susan WenbornSusan Wenborn

Over the past 16 years I have had the privilege of experiencing a number of different jobs from retail to Nannying, acting to teaching and a few different things in between. For the first time in a long time I love going to work, I love my job and I love the people I work with. As a chiropractic assistant I get to meet so many different people of all ages and backgrounds and see them experience the amazing results chiropractic can have on their lives.

Chiropractic Assistant - Sarah Grondsma

I had no idea what a chiropractor did. For years I suffered from headaches, back pain and was always tired. I just wish I had known then what I know now. After becoming a CA at Funnell Family Chiropractic and starting chiropractic care I have noticed huge changes and I am now more aware of my spine and body. It has completely changed the way I think about pain. I love my job and want everyone to know about chiropractic and be under chiropractic care. I have seen the results that adults, children and new born babies have when under care and it’s amazing.

Chiropractic Assistant/PA – Amanda NeillAmanda Neill

Amanda grew up in Hastings, England. She met her kiwi husband in Wimbledon, London in 2003 and they moved to New Zealand in 2008. In her spare time Amanda enjoys sailing, jet skiing, hiking, mountain biking, reading and taking her boxer dog and one year old son for walks.

Amanda joined FFC at the beginning of 2009. Amanda found that Chiropractic care was invaluable when she was pregnant and kept her spine healthy and her son now reaps the benefits.

Michelle Lewis

Chiropractic Assistant – Michelle Lewis

My first introduction to chiropractic care was coming into Funnell Family Chiropractic in agony!  I thought I was going to be “crunched” and after a couple of visits be “fixed.”  I soon realised I had no understanding or appreciation of Chiropractic care, and have now learnt more about the benefits and that it is not an “instant fix” – it is wellness care.  My husband and 2year old daughter also benefit greatly from Chiropractic care – if only I had a better understanding of Chiropractic when our daughter was younger! I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Funnell Family Chiropractic - not only do my family now benefit  from  Chiropractic care, I am now a temp Chiropractic Assistant here and enjoy working with a great team of individuals and seeing the positive changes in babies, children and adults.

Your Chiropractor Asks some important questions of interest to Rotorua residents - Chiropractor Rotorua Your Chiropractor Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
What are the two things drugs do?
Drugs can either speed up (laxatives, amphetamines, caffeine) a bodily process, or slow down (stomach antacids, sleep aids, antihistamines, muscle relaxers) a bodily process. Chiropractic care can produce the same results, but relies on the intelligence of the body. Chiropractors trust your body. Do you?
